Walter Jayasinghe & Palitha Pelpola Make Pradeep a Slave

Walter Jayasinghe stating that Sri Lanka Foundation has no contract with Pradeep and that he will send a letter of apology to both Pradeep Rathnayake and myself. He is stating that Aeshea Jayasinghe was privy to the conversation that took place on July 23rd, A day after the Pradeepanjalee concert that I produced. I worked almost five months on the concert. None of the idiots in the Sri Lanka Foundation knew even the names of the people performing.

Later in Jan. 12 of 2007 Sri Lanka Foundation led by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe filed a malicious and
frivolous lawsuit against me stating that they had rights to Pradeep. Page 3 Para 12 and 13 Palitha Pelpola claims that Pradeep is owned by the Sri Lanka Foundation in the U.S. and Canada for the rest of his life.

This video took place after Dr. Jayasinghe cursed out Pradeep to Dr. Jay Liyanage of New York.

In the court documents they state that
they knew they were going to loose money and that's why Pradeep agreed for a lifetime contract. Please note that they have stated $25,000 in loses. These figures have been changed about 10 times by the great accountant Mrs. Shirani Stanislaus (Yes/No right hand of Dr. Jayasinghe).

After I filed my
cross complaint Dr. Jayasinghe verified and signed a document stating that they had no contract with Pradeep Rathnayake. They also dropped their cases/causes against me.

HEY CHANNA-UPULI I HOPE YOU DIDNT GIVE THE SRI LANKA FOUNDATION A LIFETIME CONTRACT. I hope you didn't give them an oral contract.

Make up your mind Dr. Jayasinghe and Sri Lanka Foundation? DID YOU HAVE A CONTRACT WITH PRADEEP FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN THE U.S.

U.S.A. Lawyer Indicted in Sri Lanka

For the first time a warrant for the arrest of a U.S. Lawyer has been issued in Sri Lanka. Sworn Affidavits and other documents from the Consulate Office of Sri Lanka in Los Angeles under the then Consul General Hon. Ambassador H.K.J.R. Bandara show that Attorney Bruce Guttman was served his summons which is punishable under the penal code of Sri Lanka [documents].

Two documents of
issuance of warrant for arrest in English and Sinhala can be viewed here that indicate that Bruce Guttman will be arrested if he steps foot in the island of Sri Lanka which is known to most as one the countries that was devastated by the South Asia Tsunami of 2004.

Attorney Bruce Guttman is recorded by official court reporter, Helen Lee stating that Sri Lanka is a 4th World Country... and that he would need 2 of his own body guards in order to go to Sri Lanka (pages 3 and 4). The
full transcript can be downloaded. Early this week LANKPOD obtained an interview with Bruce Guttman where he stated that he new nothing about the criminal indictment and nothing has been served on him. An unknown source is said to have video and photographic proof to the contrary although this has yet to be confirmed.

Mr. Guttman's case is to be heard on February 26th, 2008 in Sri Lanka. Bruce Guttman was replaced by Attorney Paul Bloom who is another one of Dr. Jayasinghe's long term attorneys. If convicted Guttman faces a jail sentence in Sri Lanka; boy what type of body guards will he need then and how long will he last with the secrets he holds can only be speculated upon.

According to a anonymous source known only by the name of "Macleland" there are connections between the Board of Directors of Seylan Bank, Dr. Walter Jayasinghe and Bruce Guttman. It seems as if Bruce Guttman has become another pawn under Dr. Walter Jayasinghe IMHO. Apparently an investigation into the links of Dr. Walter Jayasinghe and Aeshea Jayasinghe are under way but not confirmed.

Angela Mendoza sues Dr. Walter Jayasinghe

How many Sri Lankans have been fired and let go by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe was the first question that ran across my mind as I read the complaint filed by Ms. Mendoza on 12/12/2007. Case #BC382100 (you can find the details by clicking here). I will also be posting the entire complaint in pdf format as soon as I can obtain some funds to pay for it. In the compliant Ms. Mendoza alleges that she worked for Dr. Jayasinghe since 2002 and she was paid by various organization/entities owned by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe stating "...at the whim of defendant Jayasinghe, individually, dependent on cash flow and other unknown factors."

Ms. Mendoza also alleges that she was fired one week after she informed Dr. Jayasinghe of her pregnancy. Furthermore Ms. Mendoza also alleges that Dr. Jayasinghe made and oral contract with her. Seems like Dr. Jayasinghe loves oral contracts. I wonder why it is so difficult for him to sign a contract?

The complaint also quotes
Dilan/Delon Jayasinghe the son of Dr. Jayasinghe, stating "YOUR PREGNANT" "YOU CAN'T WORK HERE". Looks like a chip off the old block. Others even feel that Delon (Jayasinghe, Jayasinha - he changes his name frequently) is even more dangerous than his father. I for one has witnessed Dr. Jayasinghe lecturing Delon on ethics. Imagine that.

So how many Sri Lankan women have been fired in the is manner is the question at hand? and how many workers have been let go after all the verbal abuse and other types of abuse inflicted by Dr. Jayasinghe?

And if you ask around you might find out the circumstances of
Ms. Shirani Stanislaus in the cycle of firing/laying off employees. Even more interesting is how she obtained the position she has now in all of Dr. Jayasinghe's entities.

Legal Fund to Battle Walter Jayasinghe

In my deposition opposing Lawyer, Mr. Paul Bloom, asked me why I wanted to make money. One of the reasons I gave was that I have vowed to create a legal fund, an entity to battle Dr. Walter Jayasinghe.

Any one that receives a threatening letter from Dr. Walter Jayasinghe's lawyers or a lawsuit will be able to get tools, research etc. to fight Dr. Walter Jayasinghe and imho his abuse of the legal system. This will include all entities set up by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe including the many "non-profit" organizations as well as any entities he has created to shield his finances within his immediate family and extended family and also includes actions by Ms. Aeshea Jayasinghe.

Walter Jayasinghe says "he doesn't know about the case"

You can hear Dr. Walter Jayasinghe lying to this reporter about not knowing that he lost more than a half million dollars to Mr. Laki & Chrisanthi Wickremesinghe. Maybe him losing a half million is nothing to him and he just doesn't remember. Hey didn't the guys at Enron not remember too.

Podcast

Just a Dream/Nightmare of Mine.

I wondered what it would be like if Dr. Jayasinghe appeared on the new show THE MOMENT OF TRUTH. You know the show that is on Wednesday nights on the Sri Lankan Nariya. What will he be asked about first... Maybe something from his new lawsuit filed by Angela Mendoza. Yes, the same one that Palitha Pelpola liked to give lifts to. Maybe a question about the judging of the beauty pageant. How about why he cursed out Pradeep Rathnayake to Dr. Jay Liyanage but didn't have the balls to do it directly to Pradeep? or just maybe a question or two about the $28,000 he promised me.

And who would be the surprise guest? Ramona, Keshini or maybe one of his plastic surgery patients? Nevertheless here is what the FOX promo, I mean Sri Lanka Nariya promo would like.

Nothing against the SLF Board or Advisory Committee

Please note I have nothing against the Sri Lanka Foundation Board of Directors or the Advisory Committee.

It has been brought to my attention that some of these members have never been assembled for one meeting. This is an official list supplied by the Sri Lanka Foundation as per the old website.

I requested to Dr. Walter Jayasinghe and Palitha Pelpola that I would like to speak to the Board of Directors.

I would like to send a letter to all of them but I only have some of the addresses.

I apologize to all the members for any unpleasantness the publishing of these names have brought to them and their families. I realize that some of you are not even aware of what has transpired.

HUSH, HUSH - Sri Lanka Foundation Board of Directors

Why is the matter of the Sri Lanka Foundation Board of Directors such a hush, hush topic. On February 5th I called the law office of Paul Bloom (Lawyer of Sri Lanka Foundation and Dr. Walter Jayasinghe) to find out why my numerous request for a list of the Board of Directors and the Bylaws have gone unanswered. Mr. Bloom informed me that I had not requested the information correctly. Since Mr. Bloom has forbidden me to communicate with Dr. Jayasinghe or his family (please see letter faxed on October 17th, 2006), I thought I might ask Mr. Bloom for this information, I even followed up with fax to Mr. Bloom.

I just received a
response from Mr. Bloom stating that he does not provide information for the Sri Lanka Foundation.

So who is on this Board of Directors? Why is it so important to keep it a secret? Why was it taken off the Sri Lanka Foundation website? Have the Board of Directors been informed of legal suites filled against Sri Lanka Foundation or suites filled on behalf of the Sri Lanka Foundation? Who makes these decision? WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW.

We all know it was very difficult for the Sri Lanka Foundation to find board members in the first place. We also know that there has been at least one resignation. So here is a list of Sri Lanka Foundation Board of Directors and Advisors. I apologize in advance if there have been any changes. Please feel free to inform me of any omissions or if anyone can confirm any resignations.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS (President, Walter Jayasinghe, Anuree De Silva, Jayalath De Silva, Shirin Egodage, Aeshea Jayasinghe, Aloma Ratnasoma, Prasanna Silva, Shirani Stanislaus, Keshini Wijegooneratne, Mohammad Virani, Executive Director, Palitha Pelpola)

ADVISORY BOARD (Raja De Silva, Raja Edirisuriya, Karen Hiteshi, Anura Jayatilake, Piyal Matarachchi, Ananda Niyarepola, Michael Perera, Jayantha Puswella, Jayam Rutnam, Gration Weerasinghe)

Independence Day Celebrations in Los Angeles

The 2007 Independence Day Celebration of Sri Lanka was held on Sunday, February 4th, 2007 at the Japanese American National Museum. I am glad that the Consulate Office of Sri Lanka, Los Angeles, choose to involve as many community organizations in the planning of this event. I hope this is a trend that will continue. It also proved that forward thinking and a willingness to break old molds can produce wonderful results. The almost all glass venue of the Japanese American National Museum was packed with a record breaking crowd. It is not only a proud day for all of us but more importantly is an event that allows the Sri Lankan American children to embrace the heritage of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan Patriots held a public talk and cultural show in the afternoon at the Veterans Memorial Complex in Culver City, California. There was a broad range of wonderful cultural acts that showcased the many talents of local Sri Lankan artists. Sapthabhumi orchestra's eloquent harmony and broad range of instruments was memorable.

Dr. Peter M. Leitner spoke on terrorism in Sri Lanka. It was an interesting speech that followed with a Q & A session. Personally I was glad that Dr. Leitner ended the speech on what is needed to bring peace in Sri Lanka. I hope that this what each and everyone carries back. A hope that we in a somewhat small way can do something to bring peace to our beautiful nation and it's even more beautiful people. He touched on the topic of all the pain, anger and fear of Sri Lankans who have directly been involved and spoke about having to overcome this in order to bring peace.

The first Patriot Awards were awarded to Fr. Flavian Wilathgamuwa, Walter Jaywardhana and the late Deeptha Leelarathna.

You can read articles by Walter Jaywardhana at
Ministry of Defense website and at Go2Lanka.com or you can download them here.

Who is on the board of directors of Sri Lanka Foundation?

Are you on the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Foundation of Los Angeles, California? We have asked for the list of Board of Directors as well as the bylaws but still have not seen them. I do remember them being on the website but the list is gone.

If you know of someone who is on the Board of Directors please let me know.

Thanks for the support

I want to thank each and everyone of you that have written with words of support and encouragement and also to those who have called. Please be assured that I will not publish any emails unless you specifically state so. If you want to publish anything it will probably be better to wait till the site has a online comment section. I am working on it.

You don't know how much your support means to me and everybody that has been affected by this.

Why should Roma de Soyza attack me?

I am sure most of you have read the letter Roma de Soyza sent to the Sri Lanka Express in regards to the Tsunami Memorial. If you haven't it's a lovely read. Pick up the Sri Lanka Express or you can download the article in the download section here.

The letter did come from Roma de Soyza. I have now confirmed that after speaking to her [just wanted to make sure an impostor hadn't sent the letter to the Sri Lanka Express.]

I do have my theories on the why and wherefore she would send this letter. I will explore these theories perhaps in a letter to the Sri Lanka Express and later in my blog. The question is why would anyone send a letter without knowing first hand the facts which she is writing upon. It can only be seen as a way to denigrate a person's worth, work and character. Perhaps she had some physical proof to back up what she was writing about. Oh come on now, I wouldn't be writing this blog if she had the proof to back up her letter.

Oscars of a PLASTIC kind

The Sri Lanka Foundation held it's Annual Awards Show on November 11th in Los Angeles. We all know that there are politics behind just about every awards show, but the extent of this one is beyond imagination. It has basically become the personal show of Dr. Walter Jayasinghe. He basically takes pride in his amusement as he watches people that he dislikes being nominated for an award.

In 2005 Palitha Pelpola was bold enough to embellish the Awards to Oscar level by creating (attempting) a press release titled, "Oscars of a Different Kind." Appropriately the 2006 Awards should be titled "Oscars of a Plastic Kind." Plastic plates, plastic cups - the wine was served in plastic cups. Now I wasn't present at the event but I did work on the event for a long time, only to see it being changed by the controlling of Dr. Walter Jaysinghe. A $110 ticket for a $6 dinner plate that was so proudly set forth by Palitha Pelpola, definitely the PLASTIC AWARDS.
