Oscars of a PLASTIC kind

Foundation held it's Annual Awards Show on November
11th in Los Angeles. We all know that there are
politics behind just about every awards show, but the
extent of this one is beyond imagination. It has
basically become the personal show of Dr. Walter
Jayasinghe. He basically takes pride in his amusement
as he watches people that he dislikes being nominated
for an award.
In 2005 Palitha Pelpola was bold enough to embellish the Awards to Oscar level by creating (attempting) a press release titled, "Oscars of a Different Kind." Appropriately the 2006 Awards should be titled "Oscars of a Plastic Kind." Plastic plates, plastic cups - the wine was served in plastic cups. Now I wasn't present at the event but I did work on the event for a long time, only to see it being changed by the controlling of Dr. Walter Jaysinghe. A $110 ticket for a $6 dinner plate that was so proudly set forth by Palitha Pelpola, definitely the PLASTIC AWARDS.
